Well it’s finally here, Skate 2 is out. So it’s good bye to my social life for a little while whilst I ruin my thumbs on a xbox controller, doing tricks I would never be able to do in real life, like the handplant above. The best bit so far has been being able to move stuff around to make a spot more interesting or simply insane. If you have an xbox and want to digitally skate with me, my gamertag is rolypolysteve. Nerd moment over.

Today was meant to be a real early one to try and skate a school in Lowestoft, however the British weather put pay to that idea. So after a decent lie in instead, it was off to Great Yarmouth where the sun always shines. Although I didn’t get the photos I originally planned to get, did get a couple of some young guns that you need to watch out for in GY Borough.

You may remember one of the first articles published on City and Sticks was about The Zutons gig at Thetford Forest last June. Well the Forestry Commission is hosting another set of gigs this year and have announced this years acts, headed up by the modfather himself Mr Paul Weller on 5th June. Looks like I might get a chance to collect the full set of the original Jam line-up having seen From The Jam late last year.

How/when did you first take an interest in drawing? 

I’ve drawn for as long as I can remember. Looking back, my earliest memories of drawing involve me sitting at the coffee table for hours on end drawing Transformers or superhoeroes fighting, and doing all the sound effects as I drew them. There is a primary school teacher who still knows me from when I was in her class, she asks if im still drawing whenever we bump into each other. So to me its something I’ve always done. I was really into comics when I was little, so I think those where what fuelled my interest.
