After trawling through the Grain Edit website I stumbled upon friend of a friend Stuart Kolkaovic’s work on there. Which jogged my memory into checking his website out as I hadn’t for a while. I thought I’d share his work with you so head over to his site or his blog for more of his lively work.

Some of you may recognise his work from Document’s Big Push DVD sleeve from a couple of year’s ago, which has just undergone a revival under the Sidewalk brand.

The Birdcage on Pottergate, Norwich gave some local artists a task of creating an A3 piece based on the theme of Birds and Cages (slightly unoriginal). The artists involved have delivered some great results with a great variety of styles. The pieces are on display on the stairs between the front and back rooms for the next two weeks, so go have a look for yourselves.

Joel Benjamin – Interview

January 8th, 2009 by Stephen Keable · 12 Comments

How/when did you first take an interest in drawing?

I’ve drawn for as long as I can remember. Looking back, my earliest memories of drawing involve me sitting at the coffee table for hours on end drawing Transformers or superhoeroes fighting, and doing all the sound effects as I drew them. I was really into comics when I was little, so I think those where what fuelled my interest.
